This species is remarkable in having the pale basal half of antennal segment III subdivided into several parts (

). The sensoria on antennal segments IIIIV consist of a single row of pores, and the fore wings are pale basally. The male is similar to the female in color, but abdominal sternites VIIVIII have transverse pore plates (
