Moderately broad, bluntly ovoid, anterior pole truncated, wider than posterior pole, slightly angled to horizontal axis, polar profile elliptical, dorso­ventrally flattened (Figs 245247), wedge­shaped in profile (Figs 244 &amp; 248).

: Egg marked on all surfaces with hexagonal cells (Figs 247251). Generally cell walls narrow, recessed, cell floors convex on and adjacent to narrow lateral sides (Fig. 249); in cells in middle of top of egg, walls moderately wide, form broadly rounded, floors concave (Figs 247 &amp; 250); micropylar cell walls narrow, shallowly reticulated (Fig. 246); cells surrounding micropylar area marked only by aeropyles at cell junctions only. Anterior pole cells flat (Fig. 251). Aeropyles slightly elevated, openings small, present on all surfaces (Figs 249 &amp; 251) except middle of top of egg (Figs 247 &amp; 250). Chorion shallowly wrinkled (Fig. 250).
