General color dark, golden brown to black with yellow transverse band on pronotum and crown. Head narrower than pronotum, anterior margin obtusely angulate; crown broad, equal to width of eyes, produced distally beyond anterior margin of eyes for about 1/3 of entire median length; eyes semiglobular; pronotum shorter than median length of crown; mesonotum large, twice as long as median length of pronotum; forewings long, broad; clypeus long, narrow, median longitudinal carina prominent; clypellus short, less than 1/3 as long as clypeus, narrow basally, inflated medio-basally, apex expanded laterally.
