The species was described from the northern part of the Korean peninsula. In his description Hue mentioned similarity of

. According to his view the former is characterized by a whitish, not truly areolate thallus and absence of the lateral cortex. The studied specimen contains norstictic acid and has spores and conidia which agree well with

. The size of spores is (17.0) 17.7[18.1]18.4 (20.0) × (10.5) 11.3[11.6]11.9 (13.0) μm (n=10) and conidia are (16.0) 17.6[18.1]18.5 (21.0) μm (n=10). These data as well as overall morphology (
