This is an undescribed, cryptic species of the
<taxonomicName class="Insecta" family="Tephritidae" genus="Terellia" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" lsidName="Terellia serratulae" order="Diptera" pageId="1" pageNumber="138" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="species" species="serratulae">Terellia serratulae</taxonomicName>
L. complex known to infest

L. in Spain and the Canary Islands. The serratula group contains cryptic species, a situation that needs to be resolved, and for which a molecular approach should be adopted (Valery Korneyev, pers. comm.).
