The Brazilian specimens exhibit similar ranges to those of Argentinean specimens (

), but we were able to find specimens both smaller and larger than those reported by

. In terms of morphology, the specimens in our study agree with the original description of

</taxonomicName>
previously reported in

, Tucuman, Famaillá (27°0316″S65°2407″W), particularly in the pattern of ventral cilia, and in the distribution and shape of the dorsal keeled scales.
