This species shows a disjunct distribution, being known from the Iberian Peninsula in the west and from an area ranging from the Balkan Peninsula to

in the east, with a gap in the Italian Peninsula. Morphological comparison and genetic data confirm the conspecificity of the two populations, as no morphological and genetic differences were observed (
