The upper branches of harpagones are basally broad, with a needle-sharp, dorsal tip being almost right-angled to the dorsal margin of the proximal part of harpagones, easily seen in lateral view. The lower branches of harpagones are broad, forming the blunt apices in ventral and dorsal view. The ventral branch is also covered by short, strong setae. The setose dorsobasal part of segment X is present but forms a pair of small, setose protuberances at the intersegmental dorsal region. The species is very large and dark.
