Comment: Placement of the genus in the tribe
<taxonomicName id="4C5D15ADFFC06663FD216F7AB8315352" authorityName="Sharp" authorityYear="1893" box="[742,890,1339,1365]" class="Insecta" family="Zopheridae" higherTaxonomySource="GBIF" kingdom="Animalia" order="Coleoptera" pageId="32" pageNumber="233" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="tribe" tribe="Gempylodini">Gempylodini</taxonomicName>
is tentative, because of the presence of several contradictory characters in the morphology of this specimen. External similarity with representatives of the tribe may be due to convergent evolution this case.
