2008). The abdominal carinae are spined as follows: submedian 5 6, intermediate 36, lateral (1)26, marginal 15. The lobe between the terminal spines of the uropodal protopod is usually rounded (pointed on one side in one specimen), the anterior lobe of thoracic somite 6 is usually slender, and the anterior lobe of thoracic somite 7 is blunt (angular in one specimen). As reported for Taiwanese specimens (Ahyong
<emphasis id="B907EAE68078A11BFED54315FE8EFC38" box="[257,314,889,914]" italics="true" pageId="7" pageNumber="388">et al.</emphasis>
2008), the oVerall colour pattern ranges from uniform to diffusely banded.
