species complex is mainly plant pathogens (
<bibRefCitation author="Weir, BS" journalOrPublisher="Mycologia Memoirs" pageId="37" pageNumber="62" url="https://doi.org/10.3114/sim0011" year="2012">Weir et al. 2012</bibRefCitation>
) and some species are endophytes (

<taxonomicName class="Sordariomycetes" family="Glomerellaceae" genus="Colletotrichum" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Fungi" lsidName="Colletotrichum fructicola" order="Glomerellales" pageId="18" pageNumber="43" phylum="Ascomycota" rank="species" species="fructicola">Colletotrichum fructicola</taxonomicName>
has a wide host range (

) and was originally reported from coffee berries in Thailand (

). In this study, the authors followed

and identify the collection as
<taxonomicName class="Sordariomycetes" family="Glomerellaceae" genus="Colletotrichum" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Fungi" lsidName="Colletotrichum fructicola" order="Glomerellales" pageId="18" pageNumber="43" phylum="Ascomycota" rank="species" species="fructicola">Colletotrichum fructicola</taxonomicName>
which was isolated from a
<taxonomicName family="Pandanaceae" lsidName="Mycelium" pageId="18" pageNumber="43" rank="family">Pandanaceae</taxonomicName>
host. Based on phylogenetic analysis, this taxon grouped with
<taxonomicName class="Sordariomycetes" family="Glomerellaceae" genus="Colletotrichum" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Fungi" lsidName="Colletotrichum fructicola" order="Glomerellales" pageId="18" pageNumber="43" phylum="Ascomycota" rank="species" species="fructicola">Colletotrichum fructicola</taxonomicName>
with 90 % in ML and 1.00 in PP. The ITS,
<normalizedToken originalValue="β-tubulin">β-tubulin</normalizedToken>
, GAPDH, CHS-1 and ACT DNA nucleotide comparison showed that the taxon and other strains of
<taxonomicName class="Sordariomycetes" family="Glomerellaceae" genus="Colletotrichum" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Fungi" lsidName="Colletotrichum fructicola" order="Glomerellales" pageId="18" pageNumber="43" phylum="Ascomycota" rank="species" species="fructicola">Colletotrichum fructicola</taxonomicName>
Prihast., L. Cai &amp; K.D. Hyde have 100% similarity.
