Only one species is known. This genus is particularly interesting because it is the only representative of the tribe
<taxonomicName lsidName="" pageId="46" pageNumber="47" rank="tribe" tribe="Monoplatini">Monoplatini</taxonomicName>
in the Afrotropical region. This tribe occurs almost exclusively in the Neotropical and southern part of the Nearctic regions. The only exceptions are the genera
