Dans ces quatre localités, seule la forêt de Mandena, avec une centaine de plants, compte plus de dix plants. Au vu de la rareté de cette espèce et de son aire de répartition très restreinte, son statut de conservation est provisoirement considéré comme «Vulnérable» [VU B1ab(iii,iv,v)+B2ab(iii,iv,v)] selon les Catégories et les Critères de l’UICN (2012).
