Length 4 lines.-Head black; the thorax, legs and abdomen reddish-yellow; the tarsi, and the intermediate and posterior tibiae, the mandibles and base of the scape of the antennae, dark rufo-piceous. The head densely covered with pale golden pubescence, and very broad, much wider than the thorax; the eyes very large and ovate; the thorax flattened above, the lateral margins acute, the disk longitudinally aciculate; the nodes of the petiole and the abdomen smooth and shining; the entire insect sprinkled with erect black hairs.</paragraph>
