This species consists of two subspecies:

Colla, Gomy &amp; Vienna, 2004 occurring in Kenya and southern Ethiopia.

two subspecies differ chiefly in elytral punctation and intervals among striae; furthermore there are differences in the punctation of pygidium and clypeus (Colla, Gomy and Vienna 2014).

is diagnosed above, as well as provided with a differential diagnosis that separates it from other Australopacific taxa. Most important differences between the Australopacific members of the genus
