The general morphology of all species provides the basic characteristics of

</taxonomicName>
as follows. Fastigium slightly wider than the broad side of the basal segment of the antennae, and broadly rounded at the front when viewed from the above. A black band between the eyes can be sometimes seen. In dorsal aspect, the pronotum is weakly flattened in the prozona but distinctly flattened in the metazona, and has a deep transverse depression behind the middle, while its posterior edge is broadly rounded (

); also, lateral keels of pronotum mostly weak; the hind border is curved upwards strongly in male and weakly in the female. Tegmina micropterous in male (

), squamipterous in female. Prosternum is armed with a pair of slender spines; mesosternum and metasternum provided with stouter spines. The ventral spines of the first and second pair of legs are very strongly developed. The dorsal spinules are present only on the hind-tibiae. The dorsal apical spines are absent in all tibiae. Last tergite of male bears a deep or wide excision (
