is uncommon within Kimberley rivers. It has only been recorded from the Prince Regent River (below King Cascade), from near the mouth of the Lawley and King Edward/Carson Rivers and from the lower Ord River (

). Thus, the species does not penetrate into fresh waters of any of the Kimberley reaches far beyond the tidal limit, a situation similar to that in the Pilbara portion of its range (Morgan &amp; Gill 2004).
