). The morphological and phylogenomic distinctiveness of two previously unknown species in such geographic proximity is surprising. The many dozens of additional isolated mountain ranges in the adjacent Mojave Desert suggests the potential to uncover a radiation of undiscovered, microendemic species in this region.
