can be diagnosed by the following combination of characters: 1) embolus at least in its basal part broadened and flattened; 2) conductor membranous (absent in some species); and 3) retrolateral tibial apophysis arising proximally or mesially from the tibia. Females can be diagnosed by the following combination of characters: 1) epigyne with lateral lobes extending distinctly beyond epigastric furrow, and covering median septum in most species; 2) first winding membranous, and with bent margins in most species; and 3) first winding or first winding and lateral lobes covering the internal duct system (
