In dorsal aspect, the epiproct has almost parallel sides except for the apex, and in lateral aspect the apical half is expanded but does not exhibit a foot shape as in the other members of the complex. The epiproct tip is rounded and bare but most of the dorsal and lateral surface is covered with a dense pile of setae which extends to the epiproct base, leaving, on either side of the base, an oval bare spot.
