Etymology: The new generic name is a combination of Moler, the term for the form of diatomite particular to northern

, and the suffix -pterix commonly used for primitive moth genera (a form of pteryx, meaning &quot;wing&quot;). The name is feminine.

Comments: This fossil apparently intermingles traits of the

and
<emphasis id="B91EEA80DA3DF901FC30FD55F644FD1F" box="[984,1085,674,695]" italics="true" pageId="2" pageNumber="1445">Sabatinca</emphasis>
groups of micropterigid genera. While
