). Head dark brown to piceous, maxillary palpi light brown, dorsum dark brown except light brown narrow transverse fascia on elytra, venter dark brown to piceous, legs dark brown. Pronotum with primary lateral lobes large, more angulate anteriorly than laterally, secondary lobes small; hood anterior margin not sharply arcuate; hood carinae very straight, not confluent at anterior tip; pronotal ridges only moderately strong. Elytra with carinae strong, except third carina absent in short area subbasally; non-carinate intervals without granules. Metaventral depression moderately deep, wide, ca. 11 granules along base; granules lateral to depression very coarse.
