due to their low concical trochospiral test that is circular in outline. The spiral side is convex and densely perforated with an imperforate keel and the umbilical side is flat. The sutures on the spiral test side are strongly curved and limabte with fine pustules. Sutures are depressed on the umbilical side with an open umbilicus and aperture beneath a plate-like folium (

sp. 1 was collected from Heron, Wistari, One Tree and Sykes Reefs, but never with an abundance of more than five specimens per sample. One Tree Reef had the highest abundance (site 47, Lagoon 3) and Heron Lagoon the lowest. This species was also one of the few that was alive at the time of collection. Although only six live specimens were collected, they were all from either Wistari or One Tree Lagoons with no more than one live specimen per site.
