Prothallus not seen. Thallus grey with brown punctae, endolithic, contiguous conspecific thalli separated by dark lines. Perithecia 0.15-0.2 mm, 3/4(-1)-immersed, leaving deep pits in the rock; ca. 80-240 perithecia/cm2. Involucrellum absent. Exciple ca. 0.21-0.24 mm in diam., wall pale brown to medium brown, apex thickened to ca. 40-50 mm thick. Ascospores 0-septate 16-24
