This pantropical species has been found in the evergreen forests in Great Nicobar Island of the
<collectingCountry id="03CA6FD98022F94BF6F7EB15FAEB2E0C" box="[1215,1397,1854,1879]" name="India" pageId="5" pageNumber="108">Nicobar Islands</collectingCountry>
. It is characterized by the whitish to whitish grey thallus; white, slightly raised, rounded to pustular ascigerous areas; 8- spored asci; 1316 × 24 septate, 5476 × 2327 μm ascospores and norstictic acid as lichen substance.
