DIAGNOSIS ­

is very distinct. It is easily recognized from other South American species by the abruptly narrowed linguiform posterior extension of the dorsal lamina, which extends beyond the volsellae, dorsal aperture elongate tapering posteriorly, several unsocketed setae in the first section of the flagellum and anterior setae of the scutellum relatively long and dark.
