The Karelian specimen was collected in
<taxonomicName class="Magnoliopsida" family="Ericaceae" genus="Vaccinium" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Plantae" lsidName="Vaccinium myrtillus" order="Ericales" pageId="0" pageNumber="1068" phylum="Tracheophyta" rank="species" species="myrtillus">Vaccinium myrtillus</taxonomicName>
type sprucedominated forest. The Finnish specimen from Salla was collected from a stream valley surrounded by old-growth boreal forest. Immature stages are unknown.
