Eyes large, slightly prominent; the distance between eyes about 2.1 times as long as the maximum diameter of an eye. Pronotum punctate as on head, depressed in lateral parts; anterior and lateral margins straight; posterior margin gently arcuate; antero- and postero-lateral corners obtuse, weakly projecting anteriorly in anterior corners; PW/PL 2.27. Scutellar shield relatively small, punctate as in head, equilaterally triangular. Elytra ovate, widest at the middle, densely punctate, strongly convex dorsally in caudal 2/5; humeral parts projecting dorso-anteriorly; apices rightangled; EL/EW 1.18; EL/PL 3.93; EW/PW 1.47; TL/EW 1.48. Sternite III widely glabrous in lateral parts, serrate in mesal part of anterior margin.</paragraph>

This is a remarkable species in having the following characteristics: 1) tergite VIII serrate in lateral part of posterior margin, 2) sternite IX and tegmen very long, and 3) parameroids bearing short setae in apical part. Related species are uncertain.

The species is named after Dr. D. Boukal, the collector of the
