Integument mostly black; mouthparts reddish-brown; scape, pedicel, antennomere III, basal half of IV, distal half of XI, peduncle of meso- and metafemora, base of mesotibiae, basal quarter and distal half of metatibiae, and distal third of abdominal ventrite V dark reddish-brown; tarsi mostly dark reddish-brown, lighter on antennomere V; abdominal ventrites I-IV with narrow distal band brilliant copper.

Frons and vertex finely, abundantly punctate throughout; with yellow pubescence not obscuring integument (slightly denser on vertex), interspersed with yellowish-white pubescence. Area behind upper eye lobes with sculpture and pubescence as on vertex; area behind lower eye lobes tumid, impunctate on tumid area, finely, abundantly punctate on remaining surface; pubescence as on vertex. Antennal tubercles microsculptured, with yellow pubescence not obscuring integument. Median groove distinct on frons, slightly less so toward prothoracic margin. Genae very finely transversely striate on central area; with yellow pubescence not obscuring integument. Submentum slightly depressed; with yellowish-white pubescence not obscuring integument. Distance between upper eye lobes 0.9 times length of scape; in frontal view, distance between lower eye lobes 1.5 times length of scape. Antennae 1.15 times elytral length, slightly surpassing base of distal third of elytra; antennomere III sinuous; scape, pedicel, antennomere III, basal half of IV, and distal half of XI with yellowish-white pubescence partially obscuring integument; remaining areas of antennomeres with shorter, sparse yellowish-white pubescence; antennal formula (ratio) based on length of antennomere III: scape = 0.35; pedicel = 0.13; IV = 0.47; V = 0.19; VI = 0.17; VII = 0.17; VIII = 0.16; IX = 0.16; X = 0.14; XI = 0.17.

Prothorax 1.2 times wider than long; sides with distinct constriction on basal third. Pronotum notably elevated after basal third; at each side with large, oblique gibbosity, starting at about base of distal quarter, continuing toward sides of prothorax close to basal constriction of pronotum (in dorsal view, giving tubercle like appearance to the sides of prothorax); with moderately small, longitudinal gibbosity on center of area of transition between basal third and elevated area of pronotum; slightly depressed on center of elevated area, between oblique gibbosities; moderately finely, densely punctate throughout; nearly glabrous on large triangular area from base to distal quarter, except narrow central band with pale yellow pubescence, moderately widened on base and on central gibbosity; nearly glabrous on outer side of oblique gibbosities, irregularly interrupted with narrow pale yellow pubescent band near curvature of gibbosities; remaining surface with dense pale yellow pubescence (more white toward sides, primarily on curvature of oblique gibbosities toward sides of prothorax), sparser on central area of distal quarter. Sides of prothorax with pale yellow pubescence partially obscuring integument, except nearly glabrous small area at apex of oblique band. Prosternum coarsely, moderately shallowly, abundantly punctate; with pale yellow pubescence partially obscuring integument. Prosternal process coarsely, confluently punctate (punctures coarser than on prosternum); with pale yellow pubescence not obscuring integument. Mesosternum and mesosternal process, moderately coarsely, sparsely punctate; with pale yellow pubescence not obscuring integument. Metepisternum finely, moderately abundantly punctate; with yellowish-white pubescence not obscuring integument. Metasternum coarsely, abundantly punctate laterally, nearly smooth on central triangular area; with yellowish-white pubescence not obscuring integument. Scutellum with white pubescence obscuring integument.
