As with the characters of the family with the following additions. Cuticle very thin, translucent. Antennae 1 with relatively broad, lanceolate callynophore. Pereon of females slightly inflated due to enlargement of pereonites 14. Pereopods with margins of most articles slightly serrated. Uropoda; peduncles and rami with slightly serrated margins.
