This is the only species of the buqueti species­group known from
<collectingCountry id="F31C764C7806FF9CFB02FE9E9D75FEA1" name="Costa Rica" pageId="19" pageNumber="20">Costa Rica</collectingCountry>
. Its alternating interneurs with large and small fovea provide an easy recognition attribute, as does the elongate, multisetiferous and anteriorly tubiform prothorax (
