Body stramineous to brown, with symmetrical dark or pale brown spots on crown, anteriorly and medially on pronotum. Frontoclypeus light brownish with or without several pairs of dark brown markings. Gena and lorum with brownish markings, facial sutures light brownish or dark brown. Mesonotum with anterolateral triangles, small anteromedial area and pair of posteromedial spots brown, with or without markings posterad of scutellar suture. Forewings subhyaline, with transverse veins white and most cells partly bordered with dark brown.

Head narrower than pronotum; crown longer medially than next eyes with anterior margin angularly rounded and slightly declining forward in lateral view; without carina between face and crown. Anterior tentorial arms Yshaped, dorsal arm long. Ocellus on anterior margin of head, slightly closer to eye than to midline; lateral frontal suture extended dorsad of antennal ledge, becoming obsolete ca. half distance to ocellus; eye with mesal margin distinctly emarginated adjacent to antennal base; gena longer than wide, with sinuate emargination beneath eye; antennae inserted closer to upper than to lower margin of eyes; anteclypeus flat, apex slightly concave or straight, not extended to ventral margin of gena, shape and proportions variable interspecifically; lorum flat, semicircular, well separated from genal margin, basal fourth bordering frontoclypeus; clypeal suture slightly arcuate or transverse; rostrum short and tapered, not surpassing front trochanters. Pronotum broad, 1.5 times length of crown, anterior margin convex, posterior margin angularly concave medially; lateral margins long, carinate. Forewing with two anteapical cells, four apical cells and two submaginal cells. Hindwing with four apical cells, 2nd apical cell stalked basally. Front femur with single stout seta in row AV near midlength, intercalary row with about 9 setae decreasing in size toward apex, AM1 large, near ventral margin; tibia with dorsal macrosetal formula 1+1.

<paragraph id="8B9B369CFFE7665BFF69975654A4FBBF" blockId="1.[151,1437,319,1967]" pageId="1" pageNumber="422">Male abdomen. 2T apodeme with posterior lobes developed or vestigial; 1S apodeme elongate with posterior lobes developed and elongate. 2S apodeme with submedial lobes vestigial and short, or developed.</paragraph>
<paragraph id="8B9B369CFFE7665BFF69971E5374FA33" blockId="1.[151,1437,319,1967]" pageId="1" pageNumber="422">Male genitalia. Pygofer broad and long, tergite well sclerotized and only slightly emarginated posteriorly, lobe partly separated from base by ventrolateral vertical membranous cleft, with internal finger-like process along ventral margin and with numerous microsetae on caudal region. Valve pentagonal, posterior margin acutely angulate. Subgenital plates separated at base and moveably articulated to valve, short and broad, posterior margin broadly rounded in ventral view, not extended to apex of pygofer lobe, with 24 preapical, submarginal macrosetae irregularly arranged and a few long fine setae at apex; lateral margin with prominent acute lobe directed dorsally laterad of pygofer lobe, smaller triangular lobe on mesal margin projecting dorsally. Segment X well sclerotized dorsally. Style slender, with apical process falcate, curved laterally; lateral lobe obtusely angled; basal articulating process long. Connective elongate, V- or Y-shaped, or linear, stem usually subequal to arms in length, articulated with aedeagus. Aedeagus without preatrium or dorsal apodeme, shaft slender, elongate, slightly curved dorsally, tapered to apex in lateral view. Gonopore ventral, subapical.</paragraph>
<paragraph id="8B9B369CFFE7665BFF69956A536AF97F" blockId="1.[151,1437,319,1967]" pageId="1" pageNumber="422">Female abdominal sternite VII slightly concave; ovipositor extended slightly beyond apex of pygofer; first valvulae with dorsal and ventral sculpturing granulose, dorsal sculptured area submarginal, extended over nearly entire length of valvula, ventral sculptured area distinctly separated from dorsal sculptured area, elliptical, submarginal, restricted to distal fourth of valvula; second valvulae moderately broad throughout length, without dorsal teeth or membranous cleft, apex abruptly narrowed.</paragraph>
