Small cell about 1.5x as long as wide. Cu fork below M fork. M ratios: 0.48, 0.60. Cu ratios: 0.87, 1.33. Small setae: M petiole: 0; M1: +; M2: +; Cu petiole: +; Cu1: +; Cu2: +. Halter pale yellowish, apex brownish.

Coxae and femora yellow, tibiae and tarsi brownish to brown. Coxa 2 with relatively short, shorter than half of coxa 2, curved spur. Spur with 1 small apical tooth. Leg ratios: bt1:t1 =? (structure missing), bt2:t2 = 0.70, bt3:t3 = 0.42.

is a widely distributed subgenus in the Palaearctic, Nearctic and Neotropical regions, with three species known from the Himalayas (

). It differs from the other species of the subgenus in the almost H-shaped tergal fork with lateral lobes curved inwards (
