This species inhabits the Great Plains and the Great Central Plains from southern Alberta to southwestern Pennsylvania (Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties, Robert L. Davidson pers. comm. 2008), south to northern Mississippi (Drew A. Hildebrandt pers. comm. 2007), east-central Louisiana (West Feliciana Parish, Igor M. Sokolov pers. comm. 2009), central Texas, and central New Mexico (Bell 1960: 111). The records from southwestern Ohio (Dury 1906: 257) and
