. This species is known only from the

and allotype, which were collected together in northern
<collectingCountry id="D083E59D5222FFCE55885479001DFEA4" box="[151,265,355,380]" name="Colombia" pageId="11" pageNumber="290">Colombia</collectingCountry>
. No information regarding habitat or biology was given in the original description. It differs from
<taxonomicName id="6F94DE8E5222FFCE509B547E01F7FE47" class="Insecta" family="Naucoridae" genus="Ambrysus" kingdom="Animalia" order="Hemiptera" pageId="11" pageNumber="290" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="species" species="bifidus">
