We only found
<specimenCount id="CCC940D68F01FFEDFE63FB2BFDF009FF" box="[452,619,1231,1258]" pageId="18" pageNumber="556" type="generic">two specimens</specimenCount>
in the collections examined. This species is easily recognized due to its dark overall coloration with a bright red band on the posterior and lateral margins of the posterior pronotal lobe. Males have more protruding eyes than females.
