Male. 1.5-2.1 mm. Body nearly entirely dull black, with dark pilosity, except lower parts of pleurae shining, a pair of hardly visible, fulvous spots at the posterior corners of thorax, apex of tibiae and tarsomeres I and 2 fulvous, somewhat contrasting according to the direction of light; extreme base of wings and stem of halters fulvous dark, hardly contrasting; wings practically translucent, slightly greyish with anterior veins brown and posterior veins translucent, not contrasting.
