The maxillary stylets are unusually low in the head and wide apart, the fore tibia bears a small apical tubercle in both sexes, and tergite IX setae S1 are finely pointed and 0.7 as long as the tube. The forewing sub-basal setae arise in a straight line, and there are more than 20 duplicated cilia. Antennal segment III bears one sensorium, and IV bears three sensoria. The head shape, stylets and postocular setae distinguish this species from other species currently treated in
