This species was found only once (see below). The description of the cuticular ornamentations of this species is puzzling. According to the author, the simple spines possessed by this species originate from a triangular base that “…
<emphasis id="64CCFC5C571DFFA35443F867FF41DBFF" italics="true" pageId="8" pageNumber="340">at higher dry objective appear as scales but when examined under oil, scales were not discernible</emphasis>
”. The author concludes that spines originate from a triangular elevation scales are not present. In our opinion, a new description based on living material is needed to clarify this aspect.
