Forewing blackish grey, with two large ferrugineous red patches: subbasal patch larger, running to beyond basal 1/3, concave inward on outer margin; median patch smaller, slightly beyond middle, obtuse on outer margin, produced inward from middle of inner margin; shining purplish black spot at extreme base, purplish black spot situated between two ferrugineous red patches at costal and dorsal margins respectively, between them set a silvery grey spot; dorsal margin with a narrow silvery grey streak from base to basal 1/4; fringe dark brown. Hindwing and fringe dark brown. Legs ochreous yellow; foreleg with tibia and tarsus blackish brown on outer surface; midleg with tibia blackish brown at base and apex on outer surface, with brown bristles at middle and apex, tarsus blackish brown on dorsal surface; hindleg tibia with long dark brown bristles at apex, tarsus blackish brown on dorsal surface, with dark brown bristles at apices of basal three tarsomeres. Valva sub-rectangular, straight on dorsal margin, obtusely rounded at apex; cucullus densely setose, ill-defined; costa thumb-shaped; inner process short, cylindrical; sacculus 3/5 length of valva, narrowly banded, slightly concave near base on ventral margin, not free from valva apically. Antrum short funnel-shaped, weakly sclerotized. Duc- tus bursae almost uniformly wide. Corpus bursae elongate oval, with dense microspines; signum narrowly arched, placed on anterior 1/3. Appendix bursae originating from transition of ductus bursae and corpus bursae, with about 46 denticles; bulla roundly dilated, located at basal 2/5; ductus seminalis with dense granules distally.
