Simon described the genus

and placed it in the family

. The description is rather short: he mentions that the genus is closely related to
<taxonomicName id="22302C306DE207E513AFA7D4312586C4" class="Arachnida" family="Linyphiidae" genus="Clitolyna" higherTaxonomySource="GBIF" kingdom="Animalia" lsidName="Clitolyna" order="Araneae" pageId="1" pageNumber="2" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="genus">Clitolyna</taxonomicName>
but differs by the eye arrangement, shorter clypeus, abdominal setae and shorter palps. The genus

. An interesting note by Simon (translated from German): &quot;The large hydrofuge hairs, which are attached to the body surface, and which are very similar to those of
