Frons, vertex and area behind upper eye lobes finely, abundantly punctate, except nearly smooth central area of frons close to postclypeus. Frons longitudinally concave, with yellowish-white pubescence partially obscuring integument (whiter depending on light intensity), except glabrous nearly smooth area; with long, erect dark setae interspersed, especially close to eyes. Vertex with yellowish-white pubescence not obscuring integument, gradually sparser from area between antennal tubercles to prothorax; with long, erect, sparse dark setae close to eyes. Area behind upper eye lobes nearly glabrous, with a few long, erect dark setae close to eye. Area behind lower eye lobes finely, sparsely punctate; with short, sparse yellowish-white setae close to eye, with a few long, erect, both yellowish-white and dark setae. Genae much shorter than lower eye lobe; minutely, densely punctate except smooth apex; with short, sparse yellowish-white pubescence close to eye, glabrous on remaining surface. Postclypeus finely, abundantly punctate on wide central area (punctures finer than on frons), smooth laterally; pubescence as on frons on punctate area, glabrous on smooth area; with long, erect dark seta on each side of wide central area. Labrum with long, nearly decumbent, sparse dark setae, and fringe of golden setae on anterior margin. Antennal tubercles with finely abundantly punctate except smooth apex; with yellowish-white pubescence not obscuring integument on punctate area, glabrous on smooth area. Gulamentum smooth, glabrous from eyes, rugose-punctate, with long, erect, sparse yellowish-white setae between eyes. Distance between upper eye lobes 0.59 times length of scape (0.33 times distance between outer margins of eyes); in frontal view, distance between lower eye lobes 0.44 times length of scape (0.25 times distance between outer margins of eyes). Antennae 1.2 times elytral length, reaching posterior sixth of elytra. Scape finely, moderately abundantly punctate dorsally, sparsely punctate ventrally; with long, erect dark setae throughout, slightly denser on posterior third of inner surface. Pedicel and antennomeres with dark, decumbent setae, denser from basal third of antennomere VI; pedicel and antennomeres IIIVI with long, erect dark setae on inferior area of inner surface; pedicel and antennomeres IIIV with a few long, erect dark setae on apex of dorsal surface; antennomeres IIIV nearly entirely cylindrical; antennomere VI slightly, gradually widened toward apex; antennomeres VIIXI forming slightly widened club. Antennal formula (ratio) based on length of antennomere III: scape = 0.89; pedicel = 0.26; IV = 0.71; V = 0.79; VI = 0.89; VII = 0.73; VIII = 0.58; IX = 0.58; X = 0.52; XI = 0.74.
