CITES Appendix II. Classified as Data Deficient on The [UCN Red List. The Tenasserim Langur is known only from museum specimens, some sightings in the wild dating back to the 1970s, and three captive individuals. Its distribution is estimated to encompass 10,000-12,000 km? and it is not known to occur in any protected areas. Presumably hunting and habitat loss are major threats. There is an urgent need for additional surveys to determine its current population status, the limits of its distribution, and its habitat preferences.
