<paragraph pageId="0" pageNumber="595">SE European Russia, Kazakhstan (except the northern part), SE West Siberia, NW China, W Mongolia, S Tuva, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, NE Iran, NW Afghanistan.</paragraph>

<paragraph pageId="0" pageNumber="595">Local distribution and ecology.</paragraph>
<paragraph pageId="0" pageNumber="595">This species was (and is) distributed over the dry steppes in the south-western part of the region. Its rare populations are associated with the very dry steppe habitats. Its populations may be abundant in the semi-deserts and north deserts of Kazakhstan.</paragraph>
