Shell pale, whitish to corneous, slender turriform; the 88.5, strongly bulging whorls are separated by very deep suture; first whorl of the protoconch smooth; other whorls very finely, regularly ribbed (similar to the teleoconch); boundary between protoconch and teleoconch hardly visible; ribs are regular on the whole shell, just behind the aperture they became more widely spaced; aperture rounded with very slightly angled columellar-parietal and parietal-palatal transitions; apertural margin white, very much thickened and reflexed, consist of an inner, slimmer circle and an outer, thicker and reflexed circle, with hardly visible boundary; parietal callus well developed. On the dorsal side of the body whorl there are four plicae of about the same size; all of them are visible in an oblique view from the aperture. First and second plicae are standing in the same line but the third and fourth are situated more dorsally. The uppermost plica is almost parallel with the upper suture, slightly descending towards the aperture. The gap between the first and second plica is very large, but the second, third and fourth plicae are situated very close to each other. Second plica horizontal or descending backwards, slim; third and fourth plicae are slightly curved with ends pointing in the direction of the umbilicus.
