<paragraph pageId="325" pageNumber="326">Body size: 1.0-1.5 mm. Color: body dark brown, metasomal tergum 1 usually yellow; scape yellow without lateral brown stripe; flagellum brown, basal flagellomeres yellow, apical 3-5 flagellomeres white; wing veins including stigma brown; legs yellow. Head: vertex smooth; frons smooth; face smooth; temple in dorsal view narrow, sloping behind eye, width equal to 1/2 eye width; malar space greater than 1/4 eye height; ocell-ocular distance greater than 2.5 times diameter of lateral ocellus; 11-12 flagellomeres. Mesosoma: mesoscutal lobes weakly granulate or smooth; notauli absent posteriorly, weakly present and smooth anteriorly; scutellum weakly granulate or smooth; prescutellar furrow with 1 cross carina; mesopleuron smooth; precoxal sulcus scrobiculate, shorter than mesopleuron; venter smooth; propodeum with basal median areas margined, smooth, basal median carina present, areola narrow, distinctly margined, areolar area broadly rugose, lateral areas entirely rugose. Wings: fore wing vein r slightly shorter than vein 3RSa and longer than vein r-m, vein 1cu-a interstitial with vein 1M; hind wing vein SC+R absent, vein M+CU shorter than vein 1M. Metasoma: first tergum weakly costate, often partially smooth, length greater than apical width; second tergum smooth; anterior transverse groove absent; posterior transverse groove absent; third tergum smooth; terga 4-7 smooth; ovipositor as long as metasomal terga 1 and 2 combined.</paragraph>

<paragraph pageId="326" pageNumber="327">The small size, incomplete notauli, smooth metasomal tergum 1 and the white apex of the flagellum are distinctive for this species.</paragraph>

<paragraph pageId="326" pageNumber="327">The specific name is from the Latin careo, meaning to be without, in reference to the incomplete or absent notauli.</paragraph>
