Classified as Least Concern on The IUCN Red List. The Lesser Large-footed Myotisis widespread, presumably has a large population, occurs in a number of protected areas, and is unlikely to be declining fast enough to qualify for listing in a threatened category. In South Asia, its habitat is being deforested for timber, firewood, agricultural use, and human settlements, but it seemsto tolerate some habitat modification.
