Gall opening slit-like to oblong, 0.1-0.4 mm wide, 0.4-1.7 mm long (paralectotype galls with slit-like opening mostly 0.1 x 1.2 mm). Gall globose, surface variable, distal area frequently with 1 or 2 concentric circular scars, distal surface above scars smooth and lighter in colour than surrounding stem tissue.</paragraph>
