This is a common species that has been collected in various localities in the states of

and
<collectingRegion id="D404F823FFF9FFCDEF124E7BFA29F8AB" box="[1357,1440,1799,1825]" country="Mexico" name="Oaxaca" pageId="5" pageNumber="4">Oaxaca</collectingRegion>
in
<collectingRegion id="D404F823FFF9FFCDEA814E55FEBAF8C9" box="[222,307,1833,1859]" country="Mexico" name="Mexico" pageId="5" pageNumber="4">Mexico</collectingRegion>
. It has been found in oak and pine-oak forests at elevations between 1100 and 2350 meters above sea level. In the Sierra Azul we found this species in
