<emphasis id="0CABEA9BFFDFD902FF096B5AFDBA9F46" box="[234,561,317,342]" italics="true" pageId="2" pageNumber="3">Diagnosis of 3rd instar larva</emphasis>
: Head with sessile ocular tubercle. Mandibles provided with 3 pairs of equidistant teeth in which the apical tooth is slightly stronger, external margins of the mandibles provided with a fringe of long setae, at least 1 seta is present after the apical tooth. Labial palpi 3- or 4-articulated, segments 24 shorter than the basal width of the mandible. Thorax and abdomen with sessile setiferous processes. Mesothoracic spiracle not raised on tubercle. Abdominal spiracles inconspicuous. Metathoracic leg with a fringe of setae. VIII abdominal sternite with odontoid processes. IX abdominal sternite provided with a pair of sessile rastra each bearing at least 3 digging setae.
